Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026

Silio sells data sovereignty. It would be incoherent to be vague about our own. This policy describes precisely what information the silio.ca website collects, what it is used for, who else handles it and how long it is kept, in accordance with Quebec's Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Law 25).

Scope of this policy

This document covers the silio.ca website and its forms. It does not cover data you process within a Silio infrastructure deployed on your premises: that data resides on your servers, under your control, and is governed by your own policies. We have no access to it.

1. What we collect

Contact form

First name, last name, email address, phone number (optional), type of service requested and the content of your message.

Job application form (Careers page)

First name, last name, email address, phone (optional), role applied for, message (optional) and the resume file you attach.

Document downloads (guides, evaluation checklists)

First name, email address, profession and organization where you provide them. Consent is collected through an explicit checkbox, never pre-checked.

AI demonstration and reception widget

The text you type into the public demo or the chat bubble. No account, no identifier, no association with your identity.

What we don't collect

The site uses no tracking or advertising cookies, no social media pixels and no audience analytics tools — neither Google Analytics nor any equivalent. We do not build browsing profiles.

2. How this information is used

InformationPurpose
Contact formRespond to your request and carry out the resulting business follow-up.
Job applicationEvaluate your application as part of a recruitment process.
Document downloadSend you the requested document and, if you consented, occasionally share content about deploying AI in regulated contexts.
Text typed into the demoGenerate the demonstration agent's response, in real time.

This information is never sold, rented or traded, and is used for no advertising purpose.

3. Processors and transfers outside Quebec

We deliberately rely on a small number of providers. Here is who they are, and what they see.

Important — the public demo is not a sovereign deployment

The questions you type into the silio.ca demo or the chat bubble are transmitted to Groq, a US provider, for processing. It is a showcase, not a confidential environment.

Do not enter any personal, confidential or privileged information there. The files shown in the demo are fictional.

The deployments we build for clients work on an entirely different principle: inference runs on your own hardware or on sovereign Canadian servers, without passing through a foreign provider. That distinction is precisely what Silio exists to offer.

4. Retention periods

5. Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS with a TLS certificate. Application files are stored on a restricted-access server and undergo automatic antivirus scanning on receipt. Access to application files is protected by authentication and limited to those involved in recruitment.

6. Your rights

Law 25 grants you several rights, which you may exercise at any time, free of charge:

Simply write to bonjour@silio.ca. We respond within a maximum of 30 days.

7. Confidentiality incidents

In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we will notify the individuals concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, and maintain the register required by law.

8. Personal information protection officer

9. Recourse

If our response does not satisfy you, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

10. Changes

Any changes to this policy will be published on this page, together with a new update date.
